3000K HID Kit Install in Fog Lights

The final chapter in light upgrades in my car. 3000K HID kit in fog lights. I wasn't going to do such mod but the kit was given to me as a birthday present so here we go!

HID Kit:

35W ballasts with 3000K bulbs. These are the "yellow" bulbs, which provide the highest lumen output and are suitable for foggy conditions. I rarely use my fog lights and when I use them, it's when I'm driving in deserted roads, so no worries about blinding oncoming traffic.

OMG Brand? Oh_My_God is the seller's name on ebay.

Removing the fog light cover to access the fog light screw. I decided to mount the ballasts on the inner plastic surface of the inner fender

Stock connector

And the good thing: Since I have HB4 bulbs for fogs, the HID Kit came with proper adaptors, therefore, no splicing, taping or moding OEM plugs. Just plug and play!!!

Plug'n'Play with sealed connectors. This connector goes in the ballast's input, then the output is connected with the bulb. Done!

Mounting the ballast in place with short self-tapping screws. I taped all the wires for extra insulation since they are low and might get wet. The use of air ducts is revealed now as they will prevent debris and water in the ballast area.

Results:

Pictures are with angel eyes and fog lights on only. SO MUCH LIGHT! I went for a test drive and nobody flashed on me so it's a good sign. I will probably adjust them to illuminate a bit lower than now.
