3rd Engine Cover

I had a spare engine cover around and I decided to use it to  make a 3rd engine cover. The new cover would be over the ESS manifold and Twinscrew compressor. It was not too difficult to do it at all. Whole thing took me half an hour.

Steps:

1. Remove Cabin air filter assembly

2. Remove Strut bar (if any)

3. Use a cardboard to make a full scale model of the new cover

4. Take the cover and use the cardboard to mark the cutting points

5. I used a jigsaw to cut the cover. To preserve OEM look, I cut the rear part of the cover only.

6. Both engine covers have 2 small plastic tabs on one side. I drilled 1 hole on each plastic tab and cable-tied both covers together.

7. Reinstalled new covers and enjoy a full stealth look.

Next step I will make a cover for the Twinscrew pulley
