MAF Replacement

A faulty MAF (Air Flow Meter) will cause erratic idle, poor acceleration and fuel economy as well as occasional engine stalls before throwing a code. The MAF can fail because of dirt due to lack of air filter maintenance/proper cleaning. Excessive oil from oil-based air filters can be sucked through and damage the very sensitive sensor.

!Important!

Engine MUST be switched off before disconnecting/connecting the plug or serious damage may occur.

At first, you can try using MAF cleaner (or any NON-oil based electrical contact cleaner).

4. Be sure that the filter is dry from cleaner before plugging it back.
