Stewart Components High Flow Water Pump

It's that time when the water pump needs to be changed. As with all BMW models, one of their weaknesses is the water pump. Most frequent failures are broken impellers, worn rubber sealing and finally worn bearings. I noticed some weird engine sound and upon investigation I discovered that my water pump was shaking a bit and was also leaking coolant from its shaft. Needless to say that the WP is the most important component of an engine; failure = overheat with all the relevant problems. Having observed that the stock pump lasts about 50000km I decided to upgrade to the highly rated Stewart Components High Flow water pump. This pump although double the price, comes with a lifetime warranty, better bearings, water seal and an impeller which claims to flow 20% more coolant with less parasitic drag. Ordered from Turner Motorsport for around $200.
