Turner Motorsports Rear Shock Mounts

Since the lovely roads here in Cyprus decided to take their toll on my OEM Rear shock mounts, I decided that it was the time for a more drastic upgrade. So I got the TMS Aluminum / Urethane / Rubber shock mounts.

Taking off the left and right boot liner and the shitty smelling sound deadening material reveals the top shock mount.

Placed the car on ramp after removing the liners - makes life easier.

2 bottom shock bolts to be removed

Remove the 2x13mm top shock bolts

And then the 2 lower bolts (16mm If I remember well. The shock can be removed easily without the need of any kind of compression tool. I just had to hold it after I removed the lower bolt so that it didn't drop from the car. Below the Sachs M-Tech rear shock.

Remove the top nut that holds the shock mount on the shock. I had to grab the shock shaft first to prevent it from spinning.

That was it. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal. I reused the top washer because it would not seem logical to tight the nut straight on rubber. Torqued everything back and re-installed the boot liner. No more clunking sounds.
