Front Strut Bar Installation

I always liked the look - and possible handling gains - of strut bars so I decided to get one. I got an AC Schintzer replica from ebay, which surprisingly, its quality was great! The driver's side cup was not round but had an angle so that the battery terminal was not affected.

Arrived at the post in 5 pieces:

A. 2 Strut tower cups made from very thick polished aluminum

B. 2 Thick metalic joints that connect the cups with the horizontal bar

C. 1 Forged aluminum bar

Some eBay strut bar cups do not come pre-drilled for the one nipple on each tower bar and you might have to either cut the nipples on the tower or drill the strut cup. Mine cane pre-drilled and installation was easy.

Installation is easy:

1. Park the car on a flat and level surface and open the bonnet

2. Remove the 3 strut tower nuts from each side

3. Place the strut bar cups on top of the tower

4. Torque back the nuts at 19Nm

5. Screw the 2 joints on each cup using the allen bolts provided but do not tight them completely

6. Place the horizontal bar in place and secure it on the joints using the allen bolts provided

7. Tight all the bolts now
