M56 Billet Aluminum Cap & Disk
This started as a one-off prototype to resolve BMW’s lack of enthusiasm to make a replaceable cover for the CCV on its aluminum fancy valve cover that came on the M56 engines (SULEV). As more and more people were interested, we decided to make a batch of 20 caps. Those 20 caps, turned out to become 300+.
Now I take orders and make mini batches of 5 or more caps/disks for enthusiasts around the world. 5 is the minimum number required by my machinist to keep the price as it is, as they’re labor intensive.
Just informative, the cap is made in, and shipped from, Cyprus. Cyprus is a small island in the Mediterranean sea, not to be confused with Cypress in Jacksonville Florida. The postal services system is electronic and has mandatory fields: Name, Surname, Street, Postal/Zip, City, District, Country. Please make sure these info are supplied either in e-mail or via PayPal to avoid delay!
August 2026 Update: No caps available at the moment as the machinist is closed for summer holidays. We will be able to take new orders for another batch after August 28, 2026
The price has been revised at $155 to include tarrifs, only for US-based orders. Other countries remain at $145.

For any other shipping options (i.e. DHL Express) or bulk quantities (i.e. 3 caps and more) pricing is customized

Installation instructions: Around 30 degrees counter-clockwise using a 27mm socket is enough to secure the cap in place. Use it in conjuction with OE membrane (if not torn) and spring. Aftermarket membranes also work wonderfully. Note that the membrane is NOT included with the kit, you will need to either use your existing one or order it online. I just show the membrane in the photos for illustration purposes.
